More about me than you ever wanted to know
I'm 22 years old, married for a year, and mother of 2 kids. My oldest son is Elijah and he's three years old. My youngest son is Alisdare, or "Dare" as we all call him. He's 5 months old. My husband and co creator of one of the most beautiful creatures on earth is Mikey. He's a bit younger than me, but not by much.
Mikey and I met in the Army during our Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in Goodfellow AFB, Texas. That's right outside of San Angelo for anyone who might be interested to know. We started dating Halloween night of 1999 and we've been together ever since. We were married in June of 2000. I have since been discharged from the Army and now we live in North Carolina and I'm in a reserve unit here, serving as an MP.
I was originally born in Kansas. My parents divorced when I was young and my dad remarried. My stepmom came into the marriage with a son of her own and with my brother, sister and I we had a full house. Just to make things more fun, my parents had a girl and a boy together, making me the oldest of 6 kids. It wasn't too bad. I had a lot of responsibilty, but I love my sibs like crazy. I even get along with my older brother and sister who I were never really attached to.
I joined the Army the day before my 20th birthday (happy birthday to me) and left for Basic Training with my best friend, Kelly, at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. It was a miserable experience that I would do over again if given the choice. I learned a lot about myself and my abilities during that period, but not enough to make me look back fondly. In fact, I hated my drill sergeants, fellow soldiers, and most importantly, the devil bitch who was my first sergeant. I wouldn't even piss on her grave. Which may or may not be a bad thing.
I've also been stationed in California at the Presidio of Monterey, Texas, where I met my husband, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and Ft. Meade, Maryland. All this in a 2 year time period. Not bad, eh? I made a really good friend throughout all of this, Farny. She made AIT one of the best experiences of my whole life. She's gotten me as drunk as I've been in my whole life. I owe her for that.
And here I am today. I've begun to become interested in html and slightly obsessed with online journaling. There's something sneaky and completely satisfying about reading someone's most secret thoughts and totally relating. If anyone actually realates to me though, I'd be shocked. My total lack of social interation of late has become a sore point to me. My goal is to overcome that and make people want to read my diary. I want people to really *care* about the pain of potty training or about how cute my kids are. It matters to me and I want it to matter to others. Love me, dammit.
