movie reviews

My name is Sabrina and I live in North Carolina. I'm 22 years old, married and mother of two. I love reading anything I can get my hands on, playing video games, writing in journals, listening to music, and so many other things I don't want to take time to list. I'm the oldest of 6 kids and I was born in Kansas on October 9, 1978. I grew up in and around the Hutchinson, the city I was born in. I didn't do extremely well in school because it never dawned on me exactly how important an education would be. I planned instead, to join the Marine Corps. That didn't happen though because the week before I was due to leave, I found out that I was pregnant. I had to rethink the whole course my life was going to take. I had my son Elijah when I was 19. He was born on January 10, 1998. I was married to his father 4 months later. I still didn't have a plan so when the Army recruiters talked to me, I really listened to what they had to say. I wasn't a hard sell and before I knew it the paperwork was done and I was joining the Army. The day before my 20th birthday, I left for basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. I spent 2 years in active duty and along the way I divorced my first husband and met my true love, Mikey. We have a 4 month old son together, Alisdare Michael, whom we call Dare for short. He was born on December 6, 2000

I've been stationed everywhere from Monterey, California to Ft. Meade, Maryland. My favorite time in the Army was actually spent in training for my work as a signals intelligence analyst. The school took so long that the conditions were really lax. In fact, if it weren't for the formations that we had in the mornings to march us to class, it wouldn't have seem like AIT at all. Goodfellow AFB, Texas is where Mikey and I first met. He and I were trained for the same MOS, but in separate classes. I didn't meet him until weeks before I was due to leave for the next phase of my training. After I left we were forced to maintain our relationship through mail, internet, and phone calls. There were even the occasional weekend visits. We were married after almost a year of dating, on June 30, 2000.

Elijah, Mikey, and me last summer. If you look carefully you can see the bulge that later became Dare..
